SSF2X Conversion : Capcom : 1994

 スーパーストリートファイター2 X : Super street fighter 2 X :

Convert any CPS2 board in to a SSF2T or SSF2X without the need for the daughter board. >_<

Extract from the nfo file;

Requirements

A working CPS2 B-board with battery removed and security keys erased. If you
already have a board which runs a "phoenixed" game, then this will do fine. I'd
advise you not to kill a working board to do this, but it's your choice I
suppose.

A BGS-B3G (aka "G" PAL) chip for the socket marked BGSB3. The jumpers on the
board need to be soldered as follows (S = soldered, O = open):

SOOS_SO_OSOSOS_SOSOSOSO_SOSOSOSO

EPROMs as follows:

For ROMs 01, 02                               :  2 x 27C010  or 27C1001
For ROMs 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09 :  7 x 27C4096 or 27C4002 or 27C240
For ROMs 11, 13, 15, 17, 19              :  5 x 27C322

Thanks to idc @ Team Avalaunch for making this possible.

Download the archive here.

For any other CPS2 needs head over to idc's site the CPS2 Decryption Project.

  1. The thing that was great about the Phoenix version of SSF2X was that you can allow legit SSF2X boards to have Free Play Mode by swapping B boards on the same A board after configuration(must be Phoenix green board to legit green board.) Any possibility to add this on permanently?

  2. Is it possible to do this on a board with an F pal like Progear?

  3. Yes, if your board has an F PAL you'll have to add a wire from as seen on the Progear bootleg page.

If your board is currently running Progear you're good to go.
